The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill received royal assent in November 2008, and has opened up surrogacy as an option for gay and lesbian couples wishing to have children.

Surrogacy UK is pleased to welcome gay couples both as non-members and full Gold Members. The joining process is exactly the same for all couples and our Membership Secretary can be contacted at membership.secretary@surrogacyuk.org.

Support and information

Charlie and Mark were the first gay couple to join Surrogacy UK and are very glad to be 'special advisors' within the organisation. They help the Executive Committee with any matters relating to surrogacy and same-sex couples and offer support and advice to gay or lesbian couples seeking information.
