About Us

Surrogacy UK was created by experienced surrogate mothers.  They wanted to form an organisation that reflected their experience of what makes surrogacy work: the things needed to make every surrogacy journey as wonderful as it can be.

We are run by our Surrogate Mother and Intended Parent members, in the interests of our members.  This allows us to:

• help you fulfil your dreams of making a new family, as a Surrogate Mother or as an Intended Parent
• make available our friendship and collective wisdom, experience and support to help make your surrogacy journey as smooth as possible
• create an informed understanding of surrogacy in the UK, and correct the common misconceptions out there.

Last year thirty Surrogate Mothers found the couples they wished to help through Surrogacy UK, with more finding the support and advice they wanted to make their surrogacy journey a wonderful experience.

Surrogacy UK is a not-for-profit organisation.  All the membership fees are used within the organisation for peer support, running the website, organising workshops, visiting surrogates and so on.  We are recognised by the Department Of Health, the Human Fertilisation and Embryo Authority and the British Medical Association.  All information held by Surrogacy UK is held in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
